The Hobbit follows a story of Bilbo Baggins adventure with company of twelve dwarf. I find this on how they shoot the scene of the dwarf with another tall character like Gandalf and people from Lake Towns. The scale doubles had to audition like the actors, and they all went to dwarf boot camp together.
